The Covaxin & Covishield
Why in news?
India has approved 2 vaccines Covaxin & Covishield . The permission is for for emergency use to fight withCovid-19 pandemic .
By July 2021, 30 crore citizens who belong to “priority population”will be make available either of the vaccines.
Covishield is the same vaccine that is being used in other countries including the UK.
The approval of Covaxin is conditional as it is “in the clinical trial mode”.
The Following is a comparison between the two Covid-19 vaccines approved in India .
Vaccination will be done through registration on Co-WIN, the digital platform developed by the government agencies to facilitate and monitor the drive against Covid-19 pandemic.
